The Butchers arms is a listed building, grade 2 of historic importance. The Butchers Arms features : Wattle & Daub wall, thatch used as a ceiling material, an early 16th century "building" block, painted wooden dados, two open fireplaces and a bread oven, "monks prayer" in main bedroom with stabling for coaches.
A pebble stone floor inlaid with sheep knuckle bones date 1638. A cider house and designated orchard were we keep up the annual tradition of wassailing. (Scaring spirits from apples for a good harvest.)
